Meet the team
Hopes and Dreams is governed by a board of Directors. Each director volunteers their time and skills to improving the lives of the poor.
Founder & Executive Director
Nello is the Founder and Executive Director of the Hopes and Dreams. He is a passionate individual who is committed to leading this organisation in delivering its promise of working with the poor and bringing self-sustainable solutions so they can dare to dream and begin to have hope for tomorrow.
Nello is a corporate professional who runs his own IT Business consultancy specialising in Learning & Development and Change Management. He and has worked in a most of the countries different business sectors. Nello has been married for over 20 years and has 3 children.
Tony has been in the public accounting and taxation field for over 20 years and now runs his own business.
He receives great satisfaction from being able to help people in managing their taxation matters.
Tony also enjoys spending time with family and friends, loves the beach and enjoys taking day trips to various locations around Victoria.
Rebecca is married to Nello. She is the secretary and Communications Director of Hopes and Dreams Inc.
She has a Diploma in Primary Teaching and enjoys her work thoroughly. She also holds a qualification in Counselling and has been involved in many local community outreach projects.
She has a genuine love for people and desires to bring the best out in them. At present she is undertaking a Certificate IV in Ministry to further enhance her Counselling qualifications. In her spare time she also enjoys spending time with her beautiful family, creating memories, trying new food and having a good laugh with friends.
Oluyomi is an IT professional with over twenty years experience. He has worked in the banking, manufacturing, oil and gas and telecommunications industries.
He holds a Masters degrees in IT and Business Administration and a Postgraduate Diploma in Theology.
He enjoys travelling, playing tennis, and being with family and friends.
Marketing Communications Director
Cornell is a Marketing Communications specialist. He has 27 years experience in advertising, graphic design, website development and interactive multimedia.
After enjoying eighteen years of successful research science career, in 2000 Albert embarked on a new pathway in Human Resources. Albert has led and managed a number of professional teams to achieve successful outcomes.
Albert holds a Doctor of Education in Leadership and Organizational Change. Albert trains, mentors and coaches managers and leaders to increase their influence and leadership potential. He assists them to build their teams and teamwork to improve organizational capability and customer service and to achieve organizational outcomes.
In the past Albert led youth groups in a number of community organizations, organized many youth events and conferences, and youth leaders training programs. Albert was also a member of a number of boards of non-for profit organisations and churches.
In her 20s, Lisa made a commitment to help young Australians. She set and achieved a personal goal to positively influence 1 million young Aussies!
Her first book, written at 26 years of age, became a best seller, catapulting her onto corporate stages around the world. In the 25 years since then, Lisa has become recognised as a vibrant ambassador inspiring organisations, teams and leaders to new levels of performance and achievement through her high-energy presentations.
Along the way, Lisa has authored seven best selling books, spoken to over 1.5 million people across 23 countries, and shared the stage with Preachers, Presidents and Rockstars. Lisa is an inductee of the International Speaker Hall of Fame, the first person outside the North American continent to achieve this recognition for excellence.

As an organisation we understand that many investors / donors may have concerns when giving a financial contribution to a charity, at Hopes and Dreams our governance model endeavours to addresses most of these common concerns, for example:
- How are the implementation partners selected?
- What controls are in place with these partners to keep them accountable?
- Who evaluates the projects?
- How do I/we know the funds contributed is being used for the purpose it was contributed?
- How do I/we know the work is being effective and how can you measure the impact?

Hopes and Dreams Inc is endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) under Subdivision 30-BA by the Australian Taxation Office.
It is covered by Item 1 of the table in section 30-15 of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997registered as a Charity (Not-for-profit) under the Associations Incorporation Act 1981 in Victoria – Incorporation Registration No. A0051700F. It is also registered under the Fundraising Act 1998 to conduct fundraising activities in Victoria – Registration number 11934.
